Servi originally supplied much of the hydraulics when the ship was built in the period 1996-1998 – where McGregor/Aker Pusnes was responsible for the delivery of the hydraulic systems.
After more than 20 years of operation, without much maintenance, a seawater leak in a hydraulic oil cooler sent a team from Servi Group back onto the ship.
Once the team from Servi was in place, they examined the rest of the hydraulic system on the ship; Further maintenance was needed here.
Here you see Team Servi after completing the maintenance job. Svein Erik Lien, VP manager in Equinor, is very pleased with the work done.
n order for the ship to maintain stable and safe operation, the following maintenance work was needed:
Without service and maintenance, you experience faster wear and tear on systems and components. This can cause the system to come to a halt - often at an inconvenient time - and you have to replace parts for the machinery to work again, for example.
Servi wants to prevent a "use and dispose" mentality by extending the life of new and old systems. Reuse, monitoring and regular service ensure this. We call this Servi Lifecycle Services.
The advantages of servicing systems and components are several:
