Ausra Konstantinaviciute, Project engineer and Gregor Bidmead at Seasystems at Servi in Kongsberg where Team leader Knut Odden at Servi completes the FAT on the hydraulic manifolds.
This FAT completes the 3rd successful delivery of an integrated hydraulic system to Seasystems' FPSO mooring systems and further cements Servi's position as a reliable system integrator for complex hydraulic systems.
With detailed test protocols prepared and approved, the FAT ran smoothly from start to finish. All the different tests, verifications and set points for valves were witnessed and approved by Seasystems.
The detailed test protocols are of great importance to ensure that the integrated hydraulic system perform as intended when it is fully assembled and installed onboard for operation.
The integrated hydraulic solution provided by Servi to Seasystems consists of:
Hydraulic cylinders
Hydraulic manifolds
Hydraulic valves
Hydraulic piston accumulators
Servi custom designs and manufactured hydraulic valves and blocks to ensure that they are built to last in a harsh environment – with stormy weather and extreme temperature and humidity fluctuations.
The technology used in our blocks has been thoroughly tested over many years by the most demanding offshore and marine customers. In our design, we have strengthened the most exposed parts in the block with stainless steel components. This further increases the lifespan of our blocks because it dramatically reduces the potential leak points compared to a system with in-line valves and pipe connections
FPSO stands for Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading.
An FPSO is a floating production vessel. It is used in oil and gas to process and store crude oil during production on an oil field.
