MARSHALL COMPACTOR

Marshall rammers are primarily used in asphalt laboratories to test and evaluate the properties of asphalt mixtures.

MARSHALL AUTOMATIC COMPACTOR
STANDARDS: EN 12697-10, EN-12697-30

The rammer automatically compacts the bituminous sample and stops the motor after the preset number of blows has been completed on the automatic digital display counter.
The trigger mechanism is designed so that the sliding hammer falls from the same height on each stroke.
The mold is held in place by a quick clamping unit.
The compressor includes a vibrated concrete base on which a laminated hardwood block is mounted.

The machine is equipped with a safety door, in accordance with the CE safety directive. When the door is opened, it stops automatically and cannot operate.
The control panel can be wall-mounted or placed on a bench.
All moving parts are quickly and easily accessible for maintenance.
The compressor is delivered complete, except for the mold which must be ordered separately.

Here are some reasons to use a Marshall compactor :

Quality Control

The Marshall rammer helps to assess the quality of asphalt mixtures by determining density and stability. This is important to ensure that the asphalt will withstand the strain of traffic and weather conditions.

Optimization of Blends

Using the rammer, engineers can adjust the composition of the asphalt mix to achieve desired properties, such as better resistance to deformation and cracking.

Standardized Tests

The Marshall method is a standardized test method, which makes it easier to compare results between different projects and laboratories. This contributes to consistency in the quality of asphalt products.
