LOS ANGELES

The Los Angeles method is used to determine the material's resistance to abrasion.

The Los Angeles test is used to assess the wear resistance and durability of aggregates, which are an important component of concrete and asphalt.
The test measures how well the aggregates resist wear and degradation when subjected to mechanical stress.

It consists of a heavy steel cylinder of 711 mm internal diameter x 508 mm internal length, mounted on a base frame.  It comes with a soundproof safety enclosure in accordance with CE requirements.

The machine is equipped with an automatic digital counter that can be preset to the desired number of revolutions of the drum.

The cylinder is counterbalanced so that the filling opening remains in position without tilting and it is possible to position the opening for loading/unloading.  The control panel can be fixed to the wall or placed on a bench.
